Hillsboro – James L. Nixon, 57, died at 7 a.m. Friday in his home at Hillsboro. Mr. Nixon, his father, the late Frank Nixon and his brother, Lynn “Blackie” Nixon, started Nixon Builders in Hillsboro in 1970.  He was born June 22, 1928 in Adair County, Ky and had lived in Hillsboro since 1967. On March 29, 1959 he was married to Alice Sharp, who survives.  He was a member of Hillsboro United Methodist Church, where he was former trustee and a member of the administrative board. He also was a member of Hillsboro Boosters Club. Surviving with the widow are three daughters, Lynnelle Nixon of Lafayette and Lisa and Amy Nixon, both at home; two brothers, Lynn “Blackie” Nixon of Hillsboro and Glynn “Red” Nixon of Columbia City, and a sister, Dorothy Nixon of Murfreesobor, Tenn. Visitation after 4 p.m. Sunday at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home, Hillsboro. Service 11 a.m. Monday, Rev. Allen Rumble officiating. Interment Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro.
